Been wanting to do this mod for a long time now, finally got everything ordered and delivered and finally sat down to do this. No issues and a pretty easy install. Took me about 90 minutes taking my time. Worst part was dropping the spare and scrubbing all the rust off.

This was one of my first “mods,” definitely makes it easier to service when the time comes!

Absolutely! I DIY all maintenance and this is such a nice and easy way to make the diff fluid service quick and easy. Totally worth it and I actually had fun with this installation.

Looks sharp, man! How many miles, and were you as surprised as I was at how much wear material there was in the old gear oil?

25k on the clock so barely broken in ;) gear oil looked pretty decent actually as I don't always take it easy on ol' girl. It was definitely dark though, glad I changed it out.

So funny enough, I wanted to support my local Ford dealer, order it through them, and then use Fordpass points to pay for a large chunk of it. After waiting for 7 weeks with no communication from them, I got frustrated and ordered it through a large online retailer. This is the first mod I've done that doesn't support a vendor here so I'll leave it at that.

Spicer is the non-Ford branded one.

Diff cover was $250, LL gasket was $25, and AMSOIL was $56.
