So last Wednesday i posted about my truck making the grind, clunk and bang noises intermittently under long uphill climbs. I was on my way to work. Changed the check valve in the parking lot at work before starting my day. On the way home it did it again, so I ran 4A the rest of the way home. :mad:WTF, I figured that would fix it. So I swapped out the solenoid with a new one,(have 2 of those on hand too), and my next trip to work, same s h i t. Call my dealer this morning to schedule it because the truck is only 13 months old and he tells me they can get me in the week of the 27th. So I plumbed in a vacuum gauge tonight and did some diagnosing. Turns out that the brand new check valve was bad. Installed another new one and vacuum stays nice and steady.:banghead: Guess it was a good thing I bought two spares, lol.

The local and only Ford dealer in Bozeman won't schedule me: they are booking right now into late October/early Nov. So I am driving two hours next week to go to the next closest dealer... #TheNewNormal
