For those attempting this mod, I'd suggest reading the whole long thread on the f150 forum. While the mod is as simple as pulling a wire and adding a jumper, getting to the module and pulling the wire are a tedious PITA, and unfortunately there is no single or main post that clearly and completely describes how to do this simple mod in one shot. Instead there are little pieces of advice on how to wrangle the little bits spread out in different posts.

Pull green plug. Pry up (not off) white socket lock. About 2mm. Release gray socket with tiny flathead screwdriver. Tape with electrical tape. Use 1" long wire jumper from pin one to two. Push white lock back in place. Plug green plug back in. Put module back in place.

Found the first pic and instructions on the thread you referenced. Should help out for those wanting to release the gray wire. Hope it helps. Going to knock out this mod tomorrow morning.

Thanks for sharing it. It’s a great mod!

Looks great
Do you tow that behind a motorhome?if so what tow bar bracket is that under your new bumper ?

Thanks
I use the Roadmaster 10,000 pound tow bar, and wiring light kit (with diodes), and the Air Force One braking system.. There are plugs to go into the tubes which I have ordered. The tow brackets go into the tubes and lock with 1/4 turn. The plugs are used when you are not hooked up to the MH. I am going to try to figure out something like a skid plate to go into the tubes to protect them when going off road, which we do a lot. I also believe I can move them back a little.

The other question, which Nick answered, on the camera, the bumper does not effect it. The adaptive cruise still works, but I did have a couple of "crash alerts" come up tonight when I drove it. I may have to point it down a little to cut the sensitivity. I hope I don't have to take it to the dealer. Moving the adaptive cruise module was the hardest part, and adjusting it down will not be a lot of fun either. The bracket was very well built and substantial. The bumper fit perfectly and I am really happy with the fit/finish and quality. I would recommend this to anyone.

Good luck!

In order to better memorialize this handy little mod, and make it more accessible for others that might not have been in this thread, I made a thread in the lighting forum. Feel free to post up any additional info there.

GJ Motorsports 3rd brake light/rear facing ambers installed this morning. Actually did the install at TJs shop. The fit and finish is flawless and it's awesome. I opted for the antenna mount, 2 BD amber pros and the center BD clear sport. The clear center turns on when I open the door, put the truck in reverse and is also the bed work light. The rear facing ambers are on an upfitter switch.

Got it dusty again. (This will be a recurring theme for me) Took it, with my friend in hisRaptor 1.jpg Raptor 2.jpg Jeep, to Kingman wash which goes down to Lake Mead, and then took the 4wd trail up to a mine complex. Great fun and loved the incline and tilt gauges. The trail was a little narrow for the Raptor, but we made it with not too much pin striping. I aired the tires down to 15 and it handled everything fine. With the Scab, I don't think I will go below 13 or 14, as the tires wrinkled up pretty good.

pretty solid so far on day 1. I'm 30 miles from major city and its just like factory. Got no complaints and looks better. Its actually 6 3/4 inch not sure if that makes any difference but its supposed to be premium version.

Installed the ADD Pro front bumper today.

A big thanks to Nick at Apollo for giving a great price, but also for getting it to me in time for my trip. He said he would do it, and he did. Great price, and great service. Great service from a great Vendor.

No lights because I don't wheel at night. Room for the tow lights and air line for the Air Force One braking system.

Would it be possible to keep the tow hooks with the base plate mount? Have you towed it yet? How does it tow?

My goal- stock bumper, hidden winch, tow hooks and rv base-plate mount. But they all want to mount to the original tow hook mounts.
