Installed the tailgate release mod

I definitely mean no disrespect at all but can you tell me where this mod will be applicable? I feel like it is a very popular mod but I really don’t see the point. I’ve had to drop my tailgate once from inside the cab because my wife needed to jump in the back real quick and her hands were full. I simply used my key fob, but I feel that because this kit is so popular, I’m really missing something. Can you tell me what I’m missing? Again - no disrespect.
