grab the back side of the rivet with channel locks, finish drilling it out. get plastic push pins from the hardware store to plug the holes.

Did something similar, but from the front. Just crushed the ends of the rivets w/ vice grips got enough clearance between the ends sticking out & the bumper to fit wire cutters snipped ends off & used set punch & rubber mallet to do the rest. Holes haven’t bothered me much as it looks much better already w/ the plate relocated I did coat the insides of the holes w/ some touch up paint just to ensure I don’t get any rust.

Ford should offer a factory plate offset for these trucks if they’re gong to design them w/ the IC where it is.

Here’s what I did to my 19 Raptor.
Clear vinyl static cling film or can be adhesive backed
Covering:
Headlights
Exterior door pockets( where you put your hand to open man does this area get scratched up.
Fuel door
Optimum ceramic coat exterior and wheels
UNDERCARRIAGE
spray can rustoleum type black cover all rust signs( heavy on rear and leaf springs.
Clear enamel spray can type paint? On all exposed raw metal nuts bolts brake lines & fittings. No oxygen = no rust.
Also in side engine Bay Area nuts bolts etc. all raw metal needs protection.
Not saying it’s right or wrong just what I do. You asked

Did similar to undercarriage on my ‘18 when couple months new. I also used automotive clear coat in a rattle can on raw AL & shocks however it’s tough not to get that where you don’t necessarily want it & also can trap moisture in hard to reach spots.

I have since given all those parts that are a little more “sensitive” to coatings or discolor easily and/or need to be removed/maintained regularly a heavy coating in Yamalube protectant spray- this is a clear hydrophobic synthetic oil based product in a spray can developed primarily for protecting Yamahas marine engines/parts- can spray heavy as initial coating on ALL bare AL/metal parts or painted & plastic/rubber/electrical connections- purposely made not to harm any of that stuff in engine bay. It is not as heavy duty/semi-permanent as amsoil HDMP (which I used on everything else under the tuck) but also goes on clear & doesn’t attract dirt/dust like fluid film or traditional waxy coatings. Highly recommend great for the Fox shocks & can be removed- also works as a cleaner if removed promptly.

Whatever you do any rust/corrosion prevention you do early on will pay off big time in a few years if you plan on keeping a while

Put a coating of C2V3 on my wheels to protect them from all the road grime and brake dust. Hopefully this will keep the black wheels looking great for a long time!
