Well, not today exactly but over the past week got my first experiences towing with the Raptor.
View attachment 126718 First was an 18', 2800 lb R-pod, down to the SW Washington coast. Then a 21', 5K twin axle TT over to Lk Wenatchee State Park, which included 3 mountain passes. The highest was Blewett, at only 4100 feet, followed by Snoqualmie at just over 4000, so they're no Ike by any stretch, but for my first experience towing over a pass it wasn't too bad. Kept in the right lane, mostly 50-60 or so. OAT in the 70's with coolant maybe touching 220 and tranny touching 205 but quickly cooling into 210's/190's once I could get my foot back out of it. The 5K TT was probably a few hundred lbs over the non-WD towing limit, but it did OK. These were private-party rentals, so no time/facility to get a WD properly set up, but would definitely get one if I ever tow that much again just for better balance. I also run a JLT catch-can and with these tows and the previously accumulated mileage (guessing around 5K, I forgot to note when I last emptied it), I only had about 3tbsp in it, which was (good) surprising (see full comments/pics in the 'Best $139 I spent' thread).
