Soldered in a new headlight plug since the old one had a broken wire from age.

Still have a pile of parts that need to go onto the truck that I'm procrastinating on doing because its a big job and know how much work needs to get done.

Parts:
OE IWE
Timken wheel hubs
OE 4x4 vacuum hose
NAPA CV boots to rebuild the axles
Dorman trans pan with drain plug
OE trans pan gasket
OE trans filter
9Qts of Mercon LV fluid

So I did a thing. It was pretty dry rotted and cracked up. Plus it didn’t want to peel off like a good sticker so 3 hours later I got it all off (sort of). Still need to clean up some small stuff but it’s late and I’m exhausted. Wife wants it replaced, but this was such a pain, it makes me want to peel off the bed graphics!
That looks like a PITA. I helped my old man do this with a decal about twice the size on his RV. It was not fun.

Oh it definitely felt like it was a PITA. Had to occasionally vacuum up the mess but still got a lot that went in through hood vents. I’ve used adhesive remover, cleaned it, polished it, but I still see some spots of adhesive and haziness so I need to work on it some more. Kind of missing the hood graphic right now.

Yeah it is. Ive done so many at the shop.

Do you have and yellowing from the rubber wheel? If ya do you may need to go as far as a wet sand a to get it out.

Plastic razor blades and some light heat makes less mess but takes a bit longer also less chance of burning the clear vs the wheel

Either way its all a pita lol

After looking at the bag from SDHQ with their battery terminal kit in it for eons, decided to finally “tackle” the job. Much cleaner set up especially if you have extras running to power.

Wow i didn't know SDHQ had one of these. I've been wanting to do something like this for a while since i ground most of my electronics to the negative terminal. Knukonceptz has a kit as well that i've been eyeing but everything is working right now so i'm reluctant to change things up. the whole, if it ain't broke, don't fix it thing. That does look nice and tidy though, nice job!!
