I finally installed the Rpg drop shackles that were sitting around. It leveled out the truck nice and improved the ride quality. Figured I would post if anyone is on the fence like I was about getting them.
Trans was drained and filled about 5k miles ago. It almost matches what’s in my power steering reservoir. Slight pink and odorless.Looks like very used ATF.... front pump seal maybe?
LV fluid looks dark after short use. cut and past from ford:View attachment 476021
Took it on a 10 hour drive and it rewarded me with a mystery fluid. All I can think of is the topped off power steering fluid somehow made it down here.
Oil is fine and this doesn’t look red enough to be trans fluid.
I had already gotten my front windows + windshield tinted, but yesterday I finally got my back and rear windows tinted, completing my tint.
XPEL XR Black Nano Ceramic was what I picked.
Full windshield: 70%
Front windows: 35%
Rear windows: 5%
Back windows: 5%
The full windshield is barely noticeable, so no chances of getting a ticket. Plus, I can actually see at night (I have 50% on my Camaro and it is tough at times). The 35% in the front windows, combined with the factory windows, add up to 25%, so it meets the minimum legal requirement in TX. I have no issues, other than I have to roll them down when backing up in the pitch dark. With 5% I can still kinda see the rearview mirror in the day, but at night, if a car doesn't have their lights on, no chance I can see them.
Will post pics later.
I have the exact same leak on mine. In my case, it’s dark on the outside of the bell housing, but if you check behind the inspection plate, there’s fresh red fluid.View attachment 476021
