Started on the rear inner fender liner install along with all the other things I'm doing at the same time.
Picked up regular F150 rear liners and they are close but the outer lip is way wrong.
I took the box off the truck to clean the bottom and rust paint where the liners will be and to make the liner mods easier. I made a quick rack to roll the box around on and to tip it up on end.
Previous owner undercoated the truck and its all good except for the rear wheel tubs which are peeling. I removed all the old undercoat and put 2 coats of rust paint on.
The liners fit the inner box perfectly but the outer lip needs to be flat. I cut off the stock liner lip and fabbed an extension out of flat HDPE. I riveted the two pieces together. The wheel opening lip will be tucked under the flare. I did need to use a heat gun to shape the flat a little to fit nicely on the wheel lip. I will be reinstalling the mud flaps.
