Just got the truck back from the dealer for some warranty work. 4 low would not shift in or out intermittently.
They replaced the t-case shift motor and that seems to have fixed it.

Some sap would have paid $600 for that job at FORD, if they did not do it themselves.
My hero Fordtechmakuloco recently posted how to diagnose and fix that.
BTW, he just leased a 2023 F150 Lightning, has less than 1000 miles, and its already had so many problems that Ford had to pick it up and fix it

Cool Vid, I just watched it. It assumes that the truck has codes, which mine did not.
I guess fords Pin test or whatever its called specifies changing the shift motor first before anything else to see if that is the culprit. Even without codes. which is what happened to mine.

Meanwhile, super secret Project X continues. This is an 8'X10' heavy gage steel roll up door going in the Barn. It's about 400lbs total weight, including the 2 columns, so I need someone local with a forklift (or a loader/tractor with a sling) to pick it all up, secure it, and adjust the spring tension. Once it's done I can do work in a separate building free of dog p ee!

Replaced my upstream O2 sensors about 500 miles ago. Truck had 117,000 miles, and I am pretty sure they were original. I was averaging 15mpg over the last few thousand miles. Since swapping the sensors, I am now averaging 15.5mpg. My average over the last 950+ gallons of fuel is 14.9mpg. Before I did anything to the truck it wouldn’t get anything better than 13mpg.

The truck is running very well now. All the issues I was having with random stalling and idle dips are gone. What I have noticed since changing the O2 sensors is that the idle response to load changes is almost instantaneous vs. before when it would stumble when the a/c compressor kicked on, or I would go from drive to reverse, or turn the steering wheel while on the brakes.

So, if I were to recommend solutions to drivability problems they would be as follows:

-Canister Purge Valve
-Spark Plugs (all 16) and wires (check the pellets in the coils)
-Upstream O2 sensors
-Reset BMS if battery has been changed.

May have to add o2 sensors along with the plug change. Why not right lol

Teasing mine looking at new leafs. Still leaning toward Alcan Spring in Colorado and they are about $1500 shipped up to 4" lift. Geisers and Bravo TSWs going on at the same time and I don't want any rake so do I go with stock lift leafs or +2/3s with drop shackles? Still trying to figure out the benefit of the shackle route. Is it more clearance or just cheaper to buy +3 leafs and shackles than having to buy new leafs if you don't like the stance?
