Tested out the payload with a yard of sand in the bed. I was only intending to get a half yard of sand but the fools at the stone yard loaded the wrong sand. Then I foolishly told them to load another half yard with the sand I needed.
Needless to say, I got the nose high Cali lean look for the 5 mile ride home. Took it slow and no issues that I could notice. Hopefully nothing was damaged long term.
Boo Boo...I just picked up extra luggage room for my ass weak and fat hipped Jenny...
Note; thanks to my previous towing experiences with the beast, I added a load distribution hitch. I had to explain to the salesman (which was convinced that it was over kill for the size cargo trailer) that I needed this. The trailer is not as big as the one I pulled with the FX4, but its a 6' X 12' Tall and V nose with a 7000 GVWR tandem brakes both axles and it sits dry at 1990#s. I checked and measured before and after trailer attached. With stock suspension and empty load and 3/4 tank full only lowered 3/4" We will see loaded up.
