Gave the old girl a service and knocked over a few other bits and bobs.

I managed to get rid of the dreaded rear end clunk.
Dropped the tail shaft to find by no surprise that the slip yoke was dry as a bone.
Lubed it up with ford Teflon grease and reinstalled her.

NO MORE DRIVELINE CLUNK!!!!

I tried to eliminate the front shock clunk, removed, anti seized and replaced the bottom bolts...
Nope not so lucky. Noise is still there but with any luck, I'll be rebuilding them next weekend with @m3dragon

I love having my tools back!

Anyone in the Bay Area who wants a hand working on their truck let me know.

You need to black out the silver portion of your bumper/skid plate. Nice vehicle's, how do you decide which to drive?

Edit: Sorry, I guess your going to take care of that when you get her repaired.

I was considering it but I wasn't sure yet.

And she'll be back soon!

I cleaned the underside of the cab.

Replaced the tape over the holes on the inside rocker panels with foil faced sound deadening material.

Installed the same foil faced sound deadening material, and began fabricating a heat shield in the area where my new DirtyDeeds 16" muffler will be going.

Sprayed undercoating over most of the remaining underside as I could.

I want to be able to hear myself think. Not too concerned with waking up the neighbors. Hahaha!!!

Finished getting it ready. Changed out the beauty rings and skid plate for my dedicated off-road ones. Found what looks to be some type of fluid on my transmission skid plate. There is no leak coming off the tranny so hoping that it was just the dealer who might of done a sloppy oil change. Cleaned it all dry and will keep an eye on it. While down there noticed the wiring harness was about ready to fall off, fixed that and now even better out of the way. Organized and loaded the bed.

Been wanting to try this to eliminate the clunk. Would you happen to have a pic or link for the exact lube you used. Thanks.
