Today I hit the mid perch. Only saw the tread on the forum for directions and took after it with my buddy Phil this morning. the first side (Drivers side) toook about 2 hours. Had difficulty getting the space between the bottom of the compressed spring and the stop. After a little wiggling and learning I was able to get it done. The second side was cake, I knew what tricks and I had it done in under 20 minutes. I think I spent more time jacking it up and taking the tire off and on. The lesson I learned was to compress the spring as much as you can with the weight of the truck, after the compressors are drawn down lower the a-arm jack and move the weight of the truck to a jack stand. This is the real lesson...when you think the a-arm is as low as it can go use a pry bar from the spring to the a-arm and it will go down even lower. (held me up for 35 minutes) that was enough space to slide up the plastic, remove the alan set screw and slide up the snap ring. PM me if you have any questions or need help in the chicago area.
