I just unscrewed the aluminum sheetwork and the skid plate, took it off, then the oil filter was accessible. The oil filter catch pan/chute is cut short on mine so the oil will spill on the bumper bars - I just took a piece of aluminum and cut/bent it to make a little supplemental chute that can be used when needed.

Good for you. Glad ya learning and doing it yourself. Did ya go synthetic?

Out of curiosity, what brand of oil comes from the factory? Is it synthetic?

Motorcraft 5w20 synthetic comes with truck. A lot of people decide to go full synthetic after. I went mobile 1 full synthetic.

I'll probably go Mobil 1 fully synthetic unless there's a better recommendation?

I just added a GoPro Hero3+ Black Edition today. Suction cup mount and 64GB Class 10 memory card. Extended BacPac Battery still pending shipping.

Currently investigating LCAs and dual front shocks...

Yeah, it's a relief learning.

I went with the fully synthetic oil- 5w20 motorcraft oil. Took seven bottles. The motor was amazing today- a little pressure on the gas and it flies

Amsoil or Royal Purple is what I use these days, I used to be a Mobile 1 fan but that was back before they changed the formula.

I think I am going to go Amsoil on the Raptor thanks to the large amounts of oil it takes. Royal Purple is just a little to $$ for the stock motor. If I go 6.6l down the road I might switch over.

Just drove home after having the LT's and Lightning exhaust installed and it is LOUD.. If you do not like drone this is not the exhaust for you. If I do the whipple I think I am going to pull the cats and replace them with resonators.

Stomp on the gas with the windows down and it screams like a beast.
