Got home from work and found a large box on my doorstep. I immediately cracked a beer and set out to install the MBRP turndown that was inside. Took me about an hour and a half because my neighbor came over to chat after he heard me fire it up with open headers.

Went with the aluminized version w/ resonator delete. Fitment was excellent, instructions are a little lackluster but not really necessary for someone comfortable turning a wrench.

If you don't want to cut the tailpipe off at the axle to make removal easier, I would recommend dropping the spare or it will be damn near impossible to remove while working on the ground. Also, be sure to watch out for your ABS lines.

Pictures = proof

Speaking of such things I noticed a few issues from my before axle turn down on Sunday. The exhaust gasses have melted the plastic coating off the passenger side e-brake line and made the abs sensor cable a little crispy. Think I need to extend the turn downs a little further.

How close to the axle is your turn down/what setup are you running? I can't imagine the exhaust gas would be hot enough to melt plastic when cruising down the road as I would think the ambient airflow would mitigate the heat.

Do you do a lot of idling?

It idles quite a lot on runs when I'm leading usually have to stop fairly often to clear trees or allow the group to close up. I also love in the city with a lot of stop and go traffic. I'll post pictures of the exhaust in the morning.

You're the reason I got the MBRP. I have SW headers sitting in the corner of the garage waiting for a free weekend.

You're going to have to weld or fab a connection. There's about 15" between the front of the MBRP can and the end of the SW header connection.
