Finally the SVC black skid plate arrived today. The moment I got home, installed it.

Here's a few pictures, when I did mine, from an old post, First picture factory opening, then modded. If you look on wiz1500 build, you will see he added a few more openings.

Joe's @J DAMAGE thread was my starting point. I don't think I went as big on my openings though. After I made the cuts, I cleaned up the edges with a file and used a black permanent marker to hide the white fiberglass (Tuxedo Black Raptor). Will post pics

I got lucky, being my truck is silver, you couldn't really tell being the material is gray, also that's what makes this forum great, you went off my write up, I went off wiz1500 write up, its great having members so willing to pass on and or help others out, and the love for tinkering doesn't hurt.

Finished my radio instal (Icom ID-880H)l:

* Removed configuration diodes to open up full TX range
* Radio installed behind rear passenger seat
* Custom mount plate for head unit on my tablet mount
* Custom remote speaker, need to rebuild the box this was a 15 minute kludge using makercase.com that I laser cut from 1/8th in ply, going to make a mount that holds it on the head rest of the drivers seat.
* Custom machined NMO mount in the drivers side rear bed stake pocket
* All wiring in hidden in the loom or under the carpet

Todo:

* Make a clamp for the mic socket to old it on the base of the tablet mount
* Re make the speaker box
* Run the speaker wiring under the carpet

Pictures will be posted in the radio install thread.

* Drilled and mounted the lower pivot plates for the SDHQ bed supports. Tomorrow morning I need to go buy 2 bolts (missing) to finish up the install.
