There is a place on the hinge for a padlock to prevent removal. The tailgate being locked would not prevent removal, you would have to add the padlock.

Got my QTP Electric exhaust cutout Y pipe welded on , installed motor and turndown , sounds great , loud and has a low rumble , showed it to my wife , she was not impressed , but I am I'll put up a video soon but for now just a few pics

Got the kit on eBay for 211.00
Cost 30.00 for Muffler shop to weld it , plus an hour to talk to them and show them the truck
