That's cool! Only drawback is that port is hot all the time. I've seem some similar USB adapters without a light.

Any drawbacks of having that in there all the time (without anything connected of course)

That little light probably doesn't draw enough juice to matter. But I'm OCD and wouldn't be able to sleep knowing it's on sucking the life out of my new Diehard battery.

The advantage is it will charge iPads. The other one without the light can only charge phones. Not enough juice to charge an iPad. But that's fine for me. All I'd want it for is to charge my phone.

I've been using a dual USB version and the little blue light hasn't caused any problems...knock on wood.

Finally replaced my busted coolant overflow reservoir after over a month, how's that for procrastination.

As long as it"s covered and not shinning on me I'm cool. What I love about it is how fast it charges compared to the other one I had and this one allows cover to open close as if nothing was there.
