LOL, next on my list, I also intend to install the B&M trans dip stick as well.Might help when towing. Will be installing the same while changing the trans oil and adding a B&M pan in about a week.

To simulate the thickness of the leaf springs I removed so that I can accurately locate the axle housing while cycling the suspension to locate the lower shock mounts.Wood? Explain?

Yes sir! I waxed it in the Spring and I have only put about 600 miles on it this year. It shouldn't take too much to wax it up for the winter and protect the undercarriage as well.You know you just put off the inevitable!
