it’s a 2012 that I picked up used with 5300 miles way back in November of 2012. Funny thing is I use a big old syringe every engine oil change to suck out what I can out of the power steering reservoir and add a little Amsoil to it which I think helps as my PS can have issues when off reading or long trips.

My replacement 3rd brakelight should arrive Next Week Wednesday

I spent some time looking at the GJ Motorsports 3rd brakelight upgrade
Watched their install video
At the end of the day.. configured they way I want it....I am looking at close to $900 for this light. Not counting installation

My question would be...what if the 1 watt RED LED requires replacement....would we need to RMA or does GJ sell replacement parts where we can R/R ourselves

It’s easy to install. Takes an hour or two. Not sure on the led replacements, but I’m going on 3 years now with no issues.

I also drooled over it during the Christmas sale last month, but the nearly $900 price had me step back as I knew my service was coming. Which was just over $1700

Exactly what i am thinking of doing. I dont have a syringe laying around.

My power steering has been making a funny "burping" (thats not the word for it) on the turning of the wheel Left/Right or vice versus when stationary

I need to do this fluid...change

No metal grinding...just that weird.....sound

Mine does that if pushed hard. I suspect it’s cavatating (don’t know how to spell it). The Amsoil helps IMO

How is the quality of the Black Powder Coat after 3 years of service?
Still Black as when you 1st got it?

Or faded at all?

P/S fluid is pretty easy without any special suction tools, you just need a catch bottle that'll fit just below the reservoir; pull (carefully, the stock reservoir is plastic) the small hose, drain and refill. I use one of those Armor-All wipes bottles, empty of course, fits perfect and sits right there on the brake proportioning valve. Stock doesn't hold much, like a pint or two. I drain and refill mine with every oil change, I'll take a pic next time.

Sounds like it might be leaking somewhere or sucking air...
