Lower intake charge temps is the main reason. Roots blowers generate a lot of heat. When it’s 110 outside, charge temps get pretty hot. Helps keep the computer from pulling so much timing in hot weather. It’s similar to raising the octane.

Today, oil change, and replaced the power steering fluid in the reservoir.

Cleaned off the weekend trail dust, buffed out the trail pin striping, installed a tailgate assist, ordered a built right industries dash mount and all the ram mount accessories to mount my phone, my Garmin and my gopro, and ordered a bed rug. Big Raptor Day!

3 days in the Utah and Nevada desert that ended today, now taking it to Yellowstone







This was the first time off-roading out West and I was surprised how some of the trails where you could open it up for so long. Running 80-90mph for so long that I had to constantly watch temps because I went into limp mode 50% power. Granted it was about 100 out each day, so that didn’t help

Clean that damn radiator before your next run!

Parked the Raptor and sprayed the bed bolts down a bit. Leaves are due in tomorrow, planning on pulling the bed to make it easier to access everything and do some cleaning/coating while it is off.
