Took advantage of a slow shop and the hoist and finally installed my rear diff cover. The bolt that come with the cover are weak sauce. Broke three trying to hit the proper torque spec. So ended up running the original bolts. They where the same length.

Put on my geisers and dropped to low perch. Mid perch height with low perch ride. What a difference.[

Good call on the perch change, this is what happens to top hats when they are set to mid perch with those springs:

Transmission service; glad I got the filter with gasket just in case, the factory gasket had some rubbery material missing around some bolt holes...hopefully the transmission ate it and they aren't like lodged in the thermostat or valve body somewhere. Added Saudi transmission cooler, ready for summer...

Yes I think it's a 6-row versus the stock 2-row, this thread is one that covers it in depth, thanks to @vanilla_gorilla for posting the part number on the last page. I ordered mine from Tasca as well. Haven't had the transmission temp even high enough to open the thermostat yet (185°?) but hopefully soon I can see how it does, was bumping 215° last summer and not pushing it too hard.

Took the family to Tahoe

For the weekend. We got snow on Sunday so had some fun in 2WD.

Finally got my truck back from my dad. Wheel bearing turned into wheel bearing, IWE, CV boot, shock rebuild and upgrade (thanks Forged Off-road) mid perch and 4 new focal speakers cause why not. Glad to have it back.
