I also have transmission issues your aren't alone. My 13 will stick in 3rd them slam first after a stop. Do you have the TSB? I searched but to no avail

From my searches it seems to be TSB 13-6-8. It seems like the recall affects 2010-2012 vehicles but may include all vehicles with the 6R80 six speed transmission. I'm not familiar with the later Gen 1 transmission models. I assume they're the same?

Alright guys, I experienced a transmission issue for the first time today. Came to a stop on the interstate off-ramp and didn't notice that the transmission never downshifted to 1st until I tried to take off. Naturally the truck was under strain from trying to start in 6th gear so I threw it in manual mode and tried to downshift it myself. No dice. The gear indicator never showed on the dash display so I threw it back in drive and it showed that it was in 3rd. Finally it shifted to 1st and I was on my way. I've been researching about this and it seems to have a TSB related to it. A reflash is needed and/or some parts replaced. Has anyone else experienced this? I have an extended warranty but I'm kind of skeptical if they'll cover it due to my aftermarket tune and pedal commander. I can take the PC and tuner off but there's no way they won't notice the LT headers.

The truck I bought at 44k miles "check engine light on and wrench light will not shift"
TSB 13-06-08 RR lead frame in trans per tsb

Replace

Lead frame (molded) $222.29
connector $134.56
trans fluid $90.12

Total repair at ford $446.97

1) Shouldn't have paid $60 for the "universal" light kit. Could only use 2 of the brackets and had to drill them out. Had to reuse the brackets that came with the lights.

2) Either the front of the truck is wonky or the bumper is wonky. Had to move the bumper all the way to the right to make it even on both sides. Maxed out the slots. It's also not square on the horns, but straight with the valance. Weird. Sends my OCD off the charts. I wish the horns were covered with a sleeve of some kind so I can't see it.

3) Directions said there are 2 bolts to remove from the back of the bumper. There are actually 4. Two top and two bottom. Top bolts hold the hood release bracket in place.

All in all I'm happy with it. Gives the truck a meaner look imo.

Thought of one more thing. If ADD is going to suggest using 4 bolts for the horns, why don't the other two holes on each side come pre-drilled so you can mount the bumper to the factory holes and then just drill out the new ones from there? That way you don't have to measure, mark, and drill. You could just get everything straight, and drill.

Looks great. My mechanic had to drill an extra hole for mounting we even called ADD just to make sure. ADD does make great product. Packing and shipping is like art in itself. I can see how happy you are I am the same way. Its like buying a brand new truck again. Congrats again.
