I've had my flares coated with Line-X. Do you know if this will work on that and bring life back into its original black color?

SVRT will so I imagine yes even better. the svrt will need to be redone at every wash but the coating should stand up and last about a year. I have a pic somewhere of my bed with svrt I'll look for it

I did this in 2013 with the svrt and it still is good but should be redone I also now have the cover. I didn't think it is slippery but It might be more so when wet but what isn't

Did a couple of small mods. Added red reflective tape behind the SVT vents and then amber LEDs under the hood vents. Total cost $18. Still need to wire up the white LED strips I bought for under the bed rails as well.

I tried removing those hood vents the other day with no luck. Unbolted and tried prying in a few different areas, but it was flexing to a point where I felt like it was coming close to breaking. Do I just need to pry harder?

The worst thing i've done on these trucks is removing those things. Scary for sure. Get a trim tool, it will help a little. Definitely a nail biter though.....

Did you just unbolt and pry? Even the unbolted side wouldn't budge. Thought that side would at least lift a little. I only tried for a few minutes because I'm still not 100% sure if I want to spray those and the side vents.

Yeah. Used a couple of shop rags to stick underneath a corner when I finally got it to pop up and then worked my way around. It sucked. Never doing it again that's for sure.....

Yeah it takes some serious prying. I had a big flathead screwdriver and then a really small one and I'd use the small one to get the bigger one under there and for a holder as I worked the bigger one around. I started at the back by the windshield and worked toward the fender and then forward. If you look, this pic shows all the clip locations. Pry near them and it'll pop up for you. It's a bit scary but not all that bad really.
