Thought they charge you an extra $2 to bill you though? Virtual Credit Card number works like a charm, you really ought to check it out, I use it for all my online transactions and even stuff over the phone like this, hotels, anything where they don't need to see it. At hotels, I just switch it over to my regular card once I check in.
What provider gives you the virtual cc?
I guess I'm looking for a Web link....

Nah, when I bought the lifetime subscription I had one of those removable radios with multiple docks for different vehicles. The subscription itself came with 3 free transfers. So far, I've only switched once and that was to the Raptor. Was a heck of a deal! Probably why SXM no longer offers it.

With help from Paul at the ROC shop in Nor Cal we installed my GPS and radio today. I bought a custom mounting bracket for mounting my radio in the console from PCI racing radios. Looks clean Ann's I can easily remove the radio when not in use.

Can you take a pic of the box the radio sits in from the passenger side door? I like that the mounting leaves the cubby available but does it intrude on the space for the passenger a lot?

Different credit card companies have done it. Citibank has it and the only reason why I got one from them.

They do charge $2. But I thought that was better than them automatically billing my card every 6 months per vehicle. As a member of the stone age life, thanks for mentioning this virtual card number stuff. Definitely going to check into it.

What's cool is you get to generate your own virtual number each time and set an amount and expiration date (between 2 and 12 months). I always add a little more over the transaction because sometimes they check the card with a small amount first so give it a few dollars buffer, I usually do $10 and always set the expiration date for 2 months.

I am not promoting citibank but trying to help folks be safe out there on the wild west Internet. If you only knew how bad it is, it's actually quite amazing if you are in the technology security industry.

I bought an external speaker but I don't think I will need it. Will take on the next run to see how well I can hear the radio inside the console we tested it at the shop and seems loud enough

I'd suggest the external speaker. I had mine mounted to the passenger side of the console (out and exposed) and most of the time I really had to be paying attention to hear what others were saying. I'd have to have my passenger repeat what was said most of the time.
