Best truck I have ever owned function fun and I don't have to worry about pot holes. I go for them now

I do the same thing. It's fun to watch the car following close behind you blindly follow your track and get jacked up.

There's a section of road by my house they had tore up and coned off for quite a while that was more or less a hole 4ft x 6ft and about 3-4 inches deep. They were short cones so you could drive over them and the truck would clear down the center. With someone tailgating me, as they like to do in these parts, I would punch it right before this little obstacle and lmao as the person behind drove their prius or equal off what was a little cliff to them. They paved it about a month ago so no more fun.

Knocked out a few things I've been procrastinating on for awhile.
Finally mounted my Smittybilt CO2 tank in the bed ith a heavy duty Kidde Marine mount.

Then I finished up my Hi-Lift jack mounts and installed the jack in the bed. I didn't get a pic because I was racing daylight but for anyone mounting either a jack like this or anything closer to the bed and need to be able to hold the nuts on the backside between the bed and fender what I did was (And I don't care if you judge me lol) I removed the cap on the top of the bed. There are squares cut out for the clips on the cap to snap into that are 1 1/2"x3/4" spaced out about every 12". I cut an access hole between the factory ones about 2"x1" and used it to but my nuts and washers on and tighten the bolts. It also made it easier because I put a piece of 3/8" steel plate cut a little bigger than the mounting bracket for a backer plate since the jack is a tad heavy.

Lastly I found these cool tie down brackets I used in the bed so I could strap down my spare until I finally decide on a bed rack. They're nice because when you're not using them and need the bed the top hoop just unscrews and they have plugs you can screw into the holes so shit doesn't collect in them for when you want to put them back in. I ran out of time but I plan on spraying them with bedliner to protect them and so they blend into the bed.

I also removed the spare from under the truck to mount it in the bed and took the winch for it off because I knew it would drive me crazy rattling around. Hopefully tomorrow I'll get my fire extinguisher mounted in the cab, figure out how to secure my HF 2 ton racejack in the bed and then get everything loaded up for the trip to the Pine Barrens on Sunday.

Ya ya I was drilling and working in it all day what do you expect. Plus it's had a Weatherguard tool box that I just removed mounted in it for like 8 months collecting dirt under it and I'm not going to wash it now because on Sunday it will probably be covered in mud from top to bottom lol.

Two years ago today, January 2, 2014, I brought my Raptor home... I received this email this morning...

Dear John,

Lithia Ford Lincoln of Roseburg would like to wish you and your F150 a very Happy Anniversary.

Two years together is quite an accomplishment so we’ve included a special offer, just for the two of you.

From everyone at Lithia Ford Lincoln of Roseburg, Happy Anniversary!

Sincerely,

Wayne Knowles
General Manager

The special offer is a $10 off coupon on my next service.

Two years, it seems like yesterday. The greatness of my truck has not worn off, if anything it has only increased...

The mounts are all made and tacked up but I was in a rush to leave and didnt get a picture.

Sorry for having to cut it up @svc but its going to be awesome once its done!

Glad it went to someone with the skills to resurrect it from the damage I inflicted upon it. Can't wait to see what you do. So the top bar looked to be okay?

I have been wanting to cut an oval sized hole for some bed lights in the raised section on the inner bed side in between where u mounted the hangers for the jack. Can u enlighten me as to hat is behind there.
