FRF Vendor JDM sells them as well as maybe a couple other vendors here. They are the JLT Oil Separators. I have one on my truck and love it. For those that run the truck hard I would recommend getting one

I agree but even if you don't run the truck hard they are still beneficial IMO. Mine catches more than a little bit of oil even when mostly driving on the highway with the cruise control set.

Do they just work to filter more sediment out of your oil in addition to the oil filter?

From JLT's website:

During the process of venting crankcase pressure back through your intake track, large amounts of oil, in the form of vapors, can coat your blower rotors, intercooler fins and even dilute your gas, lowering its octane level. This happens on all engines and is even worse when supercharged as crankcase pressures are increased.

To combat this, we have developed an oil separator of our own design. Milled from solid billet aluminum this is a rock solid piece. It has a knurled tank base for easy removal to drain the spent oil and an O ring seal to prevent any leaks. We took this unit a step further and added a metal mesh Filter element. This element collects the vapors allowing them to grow into droplets and drop into the tank.

I envy you guys that get to do all this small shit to your raptor's.

I know exactly how you feel! i had a full frame swap as well (if thats what is getting done) and have been without my truck for 6 months, got it back and drove it for a week then took it back to the collision shop that had it due to the fact that the pianter is a ******* idiot and missed spots and did a cheap paint job. So now i am without it again and waiting to get it back.

Why 6 months? Mine has been since Nov 2nd but sat for 30 days. Once the frame was ordered, it was delivered the following week.

Are they cutting the frame to put your bumper back on or do you have to do that yourself. And those rocks stuck in the treads of your tires are driving me crazy. Can you pick them out when you go back before posting another pic please lol.

Giving the bumper to someone for trade of their skill set. I don't have the means to get it straighten up nor want to go that direction. I ordered the Rogue Rebel bumper and not cutting the frame this time. Shop would not cut the frame unless I signed a waiver cause they said that affects how the airbags deploy (probably why mine did NOT).

Here is the skid plate if it gives you any idea what the bumper might look like.

And live with the rocks in the tread, those are stock BFG's, I do.

While they have the body off and the undercarriage all exposed, can you ask them to do some extra rust prohibitive coating/painting? I'd love to have my like that for a long weekend someday just to hit all those hard to get to nooks and crannies........

I would have gotten the frame line-x'd while I was at it..

I just hooked up the pair of XL-80's to replace my KC 35w HID's on the hood mounts and WOW. They put out some crazy light. can not even tell you have your head lights on low or even high. So now really torn between 3 more XL-80's or Vision X cannons for the front bumper. They have a new amber cover coming for the XL's which will help with my concern over having them low in the front but the cannons have more cover options in colors and patterns over just the amber or black covers that the XL's will have.
