How are most of you handling the trade you have? When ordering so far in advance are you going to try and sell it on your own or work out a trade when your new Raptor comes in? Thanks

Exactly this. In PA i know that you only pay sales tax on the difference of your trades value and the price of the new car. So for me, im trading in, ill save about 2 grand on taxesI usually trade so I pay less on sales tax. For instance....if I get $50K for my trade and the new truck costs $80K I only pay sales tax on $30K.
Gen 2’s are crashing hard on price.
For the past few months I have been following used 19s and 20s on Autotrader within 300 miles of my area, and have noticed the inventory has been increasing and increasing. Went from 2-3 pages tops to 7 or so now and have seen a good number of trucks on there for a while. My local dealer has 3 on their lot at crazy prices and haven’t moved for 2 months.Keep telling yourself that. When most dealerships are charging ADMs and the supply of 21/22 Raptors will be low, the prices will not crash. There are only so many people that can afford an $80k plus truck.
In reference to the original post, Montana has no sales tax on vehicles. So I am going to list mine privately and see what happens. Truck inventory will still be low throughout this year and into next, so dealerships will be looking to snag whatever they can get their hands on—especially if it is a Raptor.
