Truck went 14.4 at 96mph in sport mode, and then 14.5 in baja mode. There were a few more runs, but it was heatsoaked after those two. Traction control off (held for 10 seconds). Water in the water-box, but no VHT. Launched in 2WD at about 1500 rpm, dead hook and bogged a bit. Terrible 60ft times (2.0 and 2.1), but I guess that's expected from a heavy truck with offroad tires.

I'd like to get the SPD adapters installed, along with a new downpipe, and some kind of functional CAI. Also there is some spark plug that everyone is changing to that seems to have a dramatic effect on drivability. I'd like to get a baseline pull, and then after having all that installed I would like to have it tuned on a dyno. Anyone have a suggestion for a tuner/shop with a dyno?

Josh

Before you turds start in with the:
  • It's an off-road truck.
  • You're going to explode the tires and die.
  • You should have bought a coyote truck to go fast.
  • etc

You should get really angry because I use the Raptor to tow another car to the track. I am just having fun, and I don't really care what you think. This Starbucks is mine. Find your own. I even washed the truck when I got home...

So let's keep this thread about performance and tuning, please.

Go 4A, and add some RPMs to the start. Don’t do baja, just use sport mode and 4A. You gain nothing with baja in an acceleration contest. If it was on / off and on the gas again frequently, sure.

Surprised you were heat soaked so quickly. Bigger/better intercooler to start.

Has anyone tried shorter rear drag style tires?....not sure if the wheel speed difference between front and rear would freak out the PCU's...
Better hook up and of course a lower effective gear ratio...

And stay out of the water box. You are just dragging water into the launch area.

Can't go around the water box. Barriers on either side.

I was dead hooking in 2WD. Why 4A?

If I continue to mess around at the track with this truck I will probably buy a second set of stock rims, and put some 555s on them. Pretty good chance I will continue to play at the track a little too, because when I go with friends and don't bring one of my cars, I can't keep off the track. :)

I called MPT today. The guy there said I can expect his tunes to give me 450-500hp at the wheels on a dyno with their mail order tune. He said their shop truck put down 452 after it was hot. He also felt like the plugs, adapters, downpipe, and CAI wouldn't really yield very much extra if anything.

I wish I could find a shop that would do a baseline pull, install parts, and then dyno tune. Doesn't seem like its a thing on these trucks. Should I just order his nGuage and put his tune in and see where I am at?

I ran mine last weekend with the stock tune then with the MPT 93 PR-X tune. Tuned I was 0.6 seconds quicker and 3mph faster. 14.3 @ 93 vs 13.7 @ 96. I have it in a thread here. Sport mode, 4A, traction control off, brake boosted to 2,300rpm roughly. I will post a link to the videos in my thread tonight.
