GEN 2 Weird fan / ticking noise from front-end

What's that tick tick ticking noise? I've got a similar noise, already had cam phasers and fan replaced but mine masks a similar noise on my 18, but my buddies 18 is perfectly quiet.

No idea. I thought it sounded pretty normal to me with the tap removed. It'd be interesting to hear some up close recordings of different engines to compare.

Any chance of getting a recording of yours and your buddies? Curious!
