It's pretty hard to hide scuffs, there are some glazes out there but IMO they fade pretty fast. Here would be a good couple of products if you don't want to get into machine buffing. I have used both and for doing things by hand they work great. The only problem is you'll want to do the entire truck!

There are videos right there of how to apply them by hand and the techniques. You will also want to clay bar the areas before doing any polishing. You can either buy it at a local store or use the adams kit which comes with a much larger bar.
I would recommend (in this order)
Washing
Claying the areas you intend to polish (you'll probably want to clay the entire vehicle after you feel how smooth your paint will be) until you can put your hand in a sandwich baggy and run it across the paint and not feel a thing.
Polish the areas probably once or twice.
Wax your entire vehicle and look back and enjoy!
