5.0 swap vs building the 6.2

Probably around 700WHP.
running a blower on the factory motor can get you there. remember ford racing eclipsed that number n/a in the mid 2000s. with a blower it’s just a matter of having good supporting mods. also livernois isn’t the only game in town. other builders also work on ford overhead cam engines.

I am interested in this as well, since I only have the 5.4
the lightning guys were making good numbers with the 2v 5.4 running the 2.3 whipple back in the day. no reason you can’t make good numbers with better flowing 3v heads. with the 5.4 you also have the advantage of using mustang internals that are easy to find.

It will, but not without a reasonable question of durability. Who else is building these engines? I really haven't heard of anyone.

the 6.2 is more robust than the older 2v 4.6/5.4 mod motors. those platforms have been pushed into the triple digit hp range with no issues.

Has anyone here actually done the 7.3 swap yet?

Livernois 6.6 looks like it's 22k, and supposedly handles 850+ HP without any problems. Figure another 8k for the blower setup, and at that point you should have something that would be pretty angry. The question is this - can the Whipple for the 6.2 even push that kind of power? Would it really be better doing a 7.3 swap with a Whipple to try and get to the same power with non-built engine?
