Shocks for sure. Not covered under the extended warranty even if you decide to go that route. A lot of guys, myself included, didn't know the rear shocks were toast. Front is a little easier to tell if they are blown.

I have been looking into the Ford extended warranty and maintenance plans. Aren't the shocks covered if you purchase the Ford Premium Maintenance Plan? It looks like it does cover the shocks and a lot of other normal wear and tear items that the Ford ESP PremiumCare extended warranty does not cover. A bit pricey when you combine them, but might pay off big time if the Fox shocks need replacing.

My 2011 has 34k and will be over 36k by early October----with everything I have done to the truck plus only will be keeping it till 70 or 75 will just take my chances. Will see what Ford is doing on the new F150---may just buy a 2013 if there is no 2014 Raptor.

Have them check the shocks. I just had to have a rear replaced out of warranty. Ouch. List price on a rear shock is $800.

I just purchased the Ford ESP y'day through these guys:

Ford ESP: Ford Extended Service Plans at highly discounted prices. Lowest Price Guarantee!

PremiumCARE, 1st Day Rental, 84 months, 100K miles

Cost: $1540.00 (guy said prices are on the rise, like next week...but who knows)

10% down - 11months same as cash - no fees

Call Zeigler (Bob Cline) for Promo Code got $90 off (as I understand this is equivalent to free 1st Day Rental - which means if you take it in to the shop in the morning, you get a rental that day, without the requirement of having to leave it overnight)

Same warranty through dealer was $1950

I don't usually buy aftermarket warranties, but this is a Ford Extended Service Plan, which I judged to be more reputable. I will also have rear shocks checked before bumper to bumper expires.

Warranty is appended to the VIN and is transferrable to next owner for something like $75.

Only $$ service I've needed was the Torque Converter replaced due to a drip on the bottom of the bell housing that the dealer noticed during an oil change. I guess that was typical for my build-date. If that had happened, and it not covered, would have been close or more than the aftermarket warranty. I figure I'll be money ahead, we'll see. Only other warranty I've purchased is one of those home warranties where they fix/replace home appliances....and, they have replaced the dishwasher and fixed the dryer several times no charge. Cha-Ching, 6gun wins!

I just had my 2010 scab serviced by my local Ford dealer prior to my basic warranty expiring. This was my Raptors first trip to the dealer for anything. With 35,256 miles on the Raptor, the dealer did all of this;

-Replaced a blown passenger side rear Fox shock
-Replaced a leaking third brake light assembly
-Replaced my drivers side bottom seat cover. Mine has the orange insert and was badly worn.
-Fixed the leaking rear diff cover

From what I have read on FRF, I thought I'd have to fight for the repairs. I was prepared for them to deny the replacement of the shock and seat cover under warranty, but was very surprised and happy when the service writer contacted me to say it was all replaced under warranty by Ford!
