I own a 2022 Raptor 37, which I ordered new and absolutely love. It only has 15,000 miles since we primarily use our other cars for local driving, but it’s our go-to vehicle for road trips when we haul our sports car between Arizona and California. While it’s not necessarily the best tow vehicle, I’m hesitant to upgrade to an F-250. So far, I haven’t experienced any mechanical issues, and the only maintenance I’ve done is annual oil changes. For the upcoming service, I’m planning to have the engine oil and brake fluid flushed.

With my warranty expiring in a few months, I want my dealer to inspect the vehicle for any common issues reported with the Gen 14 F-150s or Raptor Gen 3s. Could you help me compile a list of these common issues so they can check them out? I typically do this before a warranty expires and mention I’ve noticed some of these problems to ensure they’re addressed.

- Squeaky tailgate
- Exhaust rattle

If you are towing often you would follow the severe duty service intervals for fluid changes, spark plugs and filters. It’s in the owners manual.

I haven’t come across a dealer who actually looks over a vehicle for preventative maintenance. If you can turn wrenches, I’d recommend doing an oil change and tire rotation yourself so you can inspect the vehicle yourself for any possible fluid leaks ect…

For reference here is what I’m doing at 50k but let it be known to FRF that I am doing an overkill 50k service. Lol

1. New tires
2. Brake pads and rotors
3. Brake fluid flush (scan tool only)
4. Transfer case service
5. Transmission service
6. Coolant flush
7. Front and rear differential service
8. Spark plus
10. Cabin and air filter

I’ll do everything in my driveway myself but the brake flush and transmission service.

Find Flood Ford extended warranty online and buy it, then rest easy. It's not terrible expensive and works great. Get the car rental with it. Cheap. The car rental insurance paid for the whole warranty when my gen 2 sat at the dealership for over a week waiting on parts.

I second this. Just buy the extended warranty for $2500 and don’t look back. With how little you drive, it’ll probably be less expensive. As you have noted the Raptor is not really a tow vehicle but can pull something light like your Huracan.
