Hope they don't do to you what my x dealer did to me. ordered my gen 1, put down the deposit, waited 5 months, got no answers from my x dealer. keep in mind I have bought 7 trucks in 20 years from them. called customer care at ford. finally after numerous calls finally got some one who cared. they did some checking, oh the dealer does not have the allotment. theirs was spent for the year. they kept hoping I would take whatever truck they got in. finally got my truck thru another dealer.

same exact thing to me..come pick up check, but they said it was because they closed the plants to Raptor builds to over stock F-150's before switching the plants for the new styles.

ok so I had some time a lunch to visit my dealership; no concrete info till monday the 18th and he was not 100% positive the raptor will be open for money order or if its is the F150 2017. Was really honest about one thing and gave me a story
"took a 10K deposit on a focus rs in january and customer still has not received his vehicle yet so they are really skeptical about taking "PRE ORDERS etc" he does have a wait list growing of customers like me and put me on it. He also said his manager was recently on a conference call and dealers are very unhappy with the trickle of information and that the general public is having more info then them

It looks like the very first of the RS's are beginning to be delivered now so that wasn't necessarily a problem unique to that one customer Ford Focus RS lands stateside, first 350-horsepower hatch delivered | MLive.com

I'd imagine the dealers are getting frustrated. From my discussions with dealers, the only thing they could tell me was hypothetical if and when situations and how they will handle orders once they become available.

One thing I haven't read too much about has been their production pace. They could fill every order but it may take all of 2017 to accomplish.

Yes I got that vibe from the sales guy's manager; he said they get the brunt of all the bad vibes because they are on the front line with the customer and not Ford so they get these bad comments on Yelp etc because they can't deliver. I think the biggest thing I can post here is that even if you place your order on monday etc; your raptor may not be even in the first 10% of the production run. you have to account for all the other orders placed before you plus all the dealership order themselves then all the special allocated builds (bribery etc) blah blah.

For anybody to give a $10k deposit on any Ford short of a $400k GT is funny.

So why is it every dealer I talk to says "we'll have to see how many we get allotted" why is it not public knowledge to them that customer orders are different on Gen 2's or do they know something we don't? I can understand a dealer wanting to get as much as they can if their only getting 2 or 3, but unlimited orders and you want to **** people. Come on now.

I've been getting the run around too. The things, the dealers want you to buy off of the lot, plain and simple. They want you to pay the mark up so they will try and talk you into that first. They know the average customer doesn't understand the benefits to ordering vehicles and will keep pushing you to buy one of their allocations so they make the extra money. They will say things like "we will put you on the list and as soon as we get one in you'll be the first person I call. It's lame.

You guys have ****** dealers. I went to checkout a new gt350 at my local dealer and casually mentioned Im in the market for a Raptor and not a mustang and the sales guys simply said "Well when youre ready come on down and we can get you one ordered".

I then mentioned what kind of price and they said MSRP. So without any negotiation the price is MSRP so Im sure I can talk them lower.

And they also didnt know when they could order, they are in the dark as much as everyone else is.
