Ladies & Gents,
If you read my original post, I am not judging folks who do the BOV VTA mod. I provided my perspective and acknowledged my biases, based on my profession where I look at risk/reward for mechanical devices.
The repetitive “whoosh”, “whoosh”—to sound like an STI or modded race vehicle got old in 2 days. There was no reward vs. potential risk (for me).
For an approx $70k truck under warranty—please understand, the fact that swapping back/forth to stock in case of a Ford warranty issue—is a valid concern to me.
Folks who are afraid of composite oil pans, but bootleg mod a vehicle (different risk/reward values).
Spend your money and take your chances. For $35, noise making, potential risk, I’d rather not.
