I tried this on my 2012 and YES it works.
I needed to do this to check to see if Digital MPH were the same as Analog.
Analog or Speedometer reads 2 1/2 mph higher than Digital.
Cycle thru Apps with OK button.
Turn Off vehicle and it resets to Normal with new Start Up.

They aren't the same?! Ok, that's even more weird.

Analog speedo's will always vary. they are basically springloaded, and ambient temperature changes will cause slight variations in how the metal spring reacts to pressure, etc. They will also vary with age. My experience has been that digital is more accurate over the long haul. This was especially true on older vehicles without as much insulation, etc. and with parts that may not have been machined to the same tolerances. Used to run an F-150 with aftermarket programmer and display, every time the cops pulled me over the radar gun always matched the digital readout closer than the analog.

And and if you hold the trip reset for 10 secs on the older clusters and start the truck it does the something.......... All of Fords digital clusters have some form of diag mode.

I tried getting into engineering mode in my 2012 with no luck. So are you supposed to hold the ok button and start her up then let go of ok immediately or something? Is there a trick to it? I will have to try again

I have a weird empty dialog box displaying in my Trip A display since I had the stealership change my oil last Saturday. Does anybody know if that has something to do with Engineering Status? Or how to get rid of it? I would post a PIC but I'm at work and the LAN Nazis have Photobucket blocked.

Just tap the "OK" button on the steering wheel...

Thanks Greg, That's what it's displaying. I will do that when I get home this evening, but I swore I clicked on the OK button numerous times. I guess I'll need to hold my mouth right this time.

Yep... Just a quick press of the okay button while the key is in the "on" position...
