Nick, I only asked because I dont know if the ECM's have codes that match up to the as built or vin of the truck, if it will work then I would tune the secound one, and never touch mine. If it will work, then Im going to have my buddy who runs a salvage yard snatch one up for me

Again just a thought, I dont know what it would intail changing it out, hard,easy, location, just fun when you could beat the system, god knows ford dont want to fix anything for free, for anyone.

The computer would have to be the same model number. When you order a tune, your tuner will ask you for some numbers that are in your engine bay. I would assume if the ones from the wrecked truck didn't match what you originally had, the truck wouldn't start/work.
