Well, I took the Raptor out for some off-roading at Cajon Plateau right off the I-15. My buddy was co-driving for me, and we decided to take some video of our action.

I'm using a ContourHD 1080p set to a 60 fps 720p setting. It'll only do 30 fps at 1080p.

First off, let me say I'm very embarassed posting some of these videos, but I'm going to do it anyway for y'all.

I attached the camera to my helmet for most of the videos:

Here's our main run up the plateau. Check out the last 60 seconds as we put the nose of the raptor off the trail and into a situation where I'm confident a normal F-150 would have flipped:

We found a nice section of trail with lots of whoops. The downhill set were 8 to 12 1-foot whoops, and the uphill set were closer to 3-feet. We found that the Raptor just soaks up anything under a foot and a half, but you have to slow down a tad on the bigger ones.

Here's some off-board of this section:

And the same section running uphill:

Here's our descent out of the plateau (watch us abuse the Raptor at 7:30):

So, sorry the videos are long and unedited. The sound quality is an issue for me, and I'd generally recommend just muting my stupid butt. :chatty:

Hope you guys enjoy!!

Sweet sweet vids brutha. You got my heart pumping a few times there, and no doubt the pucker factor was in full force once or twice :p

And kudos to you guys for laying on the horn and for wearing helmets. I'm used to doing wearing one on the race track, but it didn't even occur to me to do it in the Raptor (at Raptor Run 2, specifically). You've got me thinking it might be a good idea to bring it along for the next trip.

Well done on the videos Rob! Did you run the trail first before you took the vids so you knew the route?

We look forward to seeing you at Raptor Run 4 at the end of this month!

Good videos Brady. I liked the dialogue:

Passenger: "You still video recording?"
Brady/Driver: "Yup"
Passenger: "That's not a good thing for insurance purposes"

Awesome video(s)!!! You guys have VERY COOL places to ride the Rap! I must also grant kudos to you for wearing helmets, better safe than sorry. This truck is so kick ass! I can't wait to do some off-roading of my own! Did you sustain any damage from the close call? How did everything hold up on the truck? Built Ford Tough? Let us know!! You guys DO have a good system for riding off-road. Keep up the good work!!!
