We have a trophylite race truck we race in SCORE and BITD (Wild Power Sports #6013) so having a VHF radio in my Raptor was a must. In my first gen, i mounted it overhead flush...super trick.

Here's how I did it in the 2018 we just picked up. Looks factory. Aluminum with 3m carbon fiber wrap. We may come out with a kit with the plate.

Best part is, no holes to drill, no cutting.

Let me know if there's any interest in this guys.

I had to remove the CS800D and go with a TYT MD-9600. Because I have a ham license and an itinerant nationwide license and use my radios with our ski area license, I needed a Part 90 radio so I could legally cover all of them. No removable face, so I had to punch through the cubby and install it deeper.

Do you have any pictures/ instructions on the modification of your cubby hole to fit the TYT? Did you just cut it with a dremel tool or something? Also, was there anything in the way behind your hole that had to be relocated? Thanks in advance!

Look for johndjmix. He was the guy doing the radio install kits for the center usb cubby. Try shooting him a PM and see what happens.

So I had been contemplating where to mount my helix director dsp controller in my truck. I saw this thread and it sparked my interest! Here’s what I came up with.

Used 1/4” abs and wrapped it in factory leather. Really happy with how it turned out! Excuse my terrible leather finishing skills. First time doing this! Thank you for the idea!
