I wonder how those mounts up top hold up to HEAVY off roading?

That was my first concern followed by "make it look good".

The installer was badass.. Built a bracket inside the empty space up there and pressure fit that carbon fiber plate and the remote face of the radio into it. Pretty solid.

But yea I want to jump it and then we will see..

Other little detail is that utilizing the remote face option made the unit that actually went into the headliner about the size and weight of a pack of smokes. The actual radio main unit is located under the dash.

Got mine done today. Jason @glre hooked me up with all the fancy stuff I needed. Looks pretty good I think.

I credit a lot of this to @cbfreshness and @orangeaddict for locations as well as this thread and the good folks at snoball that let me "shop" in their trucks.

This is a fantastic looking setup! I looked at putting something up near the sunglass holder. Tell me all about the carbon fiber look you achieved, and how you made that top radio mount (it's shaped perfectly).

Thanks!

I love this setup too. I've got 2013, and if I can, I'd replace the sunglasses holder too.

It's better than not having any radio but a handheld won't give you much distance and could put you out of contact with other trucks.
