I already thought of hooking it to the stereo via the male/male cable. I have a handful of these at home. I think I'll keep one in the truck at all times.

I'll also buy a decent speaker - and I will test out a few if needed. I don't put up with junk.

I was going to do something fancy with the mic cord, but with the extension coming out from under the console and next to the seat, it looks fine.

where's chris' towel-wrapped radio stuffed between the seats and console?

lol

That's a highly classified install. Intellectual property and proprietary installation methods would be compromised. That towel is actually made from a fabric that's high in moisture absorption and provides superior sound and vibration compensation. After seeing the actual install, I was required to sign a Nondisclosure Agreement.

This forum could be compromised, so I will terminate my transmission.

someone please help me i really want to mount a radio like this Alinco DR-635T: Ham & Amateur Radios - Equipment, Parts and Supply | AES up by the sunglasses holder really bad, but i know absolutely nothing about radios, i would prefer and antennae that is relatively short, removable and mounts on the rear windshield and is smallish. i do apologize for being worthless but im kind of panicky when it comes to drilling or anything that could possibly be permanently permanent

Never heard of them before. The thing with buying a ham radio is you have to make sure it can be moded to transmit on frequencies that are commonly used on raptor runs.
