Did the install, waaay easier than I thought it would be. Question thou, does it matter what the fender washer is made of? I went ahead and added it, i believe mine was zinc.

You'd want to go with the 1440 for our application. The majority of the frequencies we use are around 144 I believe.

How does public safety get away with them then? I know they run multiple towers to transmit signals but some of these low pros look like they'd suck when you view the specs.

They are good when you have a wide coverage repeater system like my local pd and county sheriff has. We dont have the luxury of having a repeater system where anybody can use. There is one near rausch creek but unless you have your licens you cant use it.
