If you are getting a second one from the same vendor have him at least give it to you for cost, put insurance on it and tell them and any other vendor not to ship with stupid UPS because they obviously cant find your house.

i would order from a different vendor but it's a part made by the vendor, and they're a big vendor and sponsor here, honestly kind of disappointed in there customer service and lack of empathy. i don't feel like i should have to pay full price for a replacement, i don't want to pay anything at all. basically the vendor was only willing to call usps and supposedly file a claim, nothing more, he did offer to replace the missing parts but i would be charged full price for the replacement. ridiculous.

I would say the vendor should have insured your package or at least given you a choice to insure or not...you don't mention the vendors name...which speaks that you are not looking to drag them around just get what you paid for...but I also assume part of their business is making sure their product arrives safe and sound...

I would think they would make you whole...and reevaluate their shipping procedures...

Luck...

Try asking the vendor if they insure packages and if not why not? This is avoidable and the vendor does this everyday for a living they need to make sure it gets to you and insure htat it does. Secondly ask your poastal worker for the person that delivered that day on that route. Usually the routes are tracked and they know who does what route and when.. Just ask them if they remember it getting dropped off and where, tell them its missing if they say they delivered it... Of course your not really the one that is suppose to wind up losing and your postal carrier and the vendor should make sure it does not happen. If all else fails ask the vendor if this is a on going problem, last but not least ask on here if anyones having this problem with this vendor.... It may be a shipping probem at the vendor did anyone else have a problem?

i don't want want to drag anyone through the mud, i'm sure they're great people and this is a rarity. i contacted the vendor a few times today and he tells me he filed a claim with USPS. i then called USPS and asked if there was a claim and the rep said that no claim could be made as the package was not insured, that only the vendor called to find out where the package was. When i contacted the vendor he told me he had a claim with USPS, from my perspective i paid for something i never got. if indeed he has a claim with usps that's between the vendor and USPS, and usps would reimburse the vendor not me. So with that logic the vendor should have no problem sending me what i paid for and they should seek to reimburse there losses with USPS not me AND USPS. in addition i was never given the option for insurance nor given the option to select the shipping carrier. In fact i wasn't even told how much shipping would be charged to my card until after i placed the order. With all of that being said i didn't pick the shipping carrier, i wasn't offered insurance, heck i didn't even know how much shipping was until after the fact, yet the vendor is only offering to research where the package is and make a claim with USPS. The vendor in this case has taken zero responsibility and somehow it's my problem since i didn't get my package.

The postal worker called me and has no recollection as he says he delivers numerous packages per day and cannot remember every single one. I have chose to email the vendor as a way to document all correspondence from here forward. I will make sure to ask if they insur package and if this is an ongoing problem. Like I said they are a forum vendor and sponsor and seem to have a good reputation, I'm just personally disappointed in the way this was handled on there end, not even an effort to make it right, just an "oh yeah i can ship another one out and i'll just bill the card again" or "i'll look into it with USPS and call you back" or "i filed a claim with them but it might take a while" if they file a claim they'll be the ones reimbursed not me, so what does the claim have to do with me, all they need to do is ship my stuff to me and try to recoup there losses from the shipping company they chose to use.

I understand your frustration, maybe ask to speak to the person in charge, the owner of the company. This seems more common as the number of packages go up .... Amazon a well respected shipper takes the position of the last person to get blamed is the customer. And your right you were not included in the shipping process and I would make metion of this to the shipper... In the end you probably are dealing with more than you bargained for anyways sorry for the frustration, if it happens to be a GPS you need I have a new in the box, I wont use USPS.... lol... smile... it gets better....

i just sent an email to the vendor voicing my concerns over the selection of the shipping carrier and the fact that i never had an option of purchasing insurance so hopefully this gets resolved quickly as i feel as though i've already wasted enough time on this. honestly it really isn't the money as it is the principle and the customer's position here.

The vendor should take care of you, its there responsibility to make sure the customer receives what they purchased, that is the contract! You gave them money, they gave you nothing. I`m always polite when something goes wrong, as you have been, but if that does not work (nice guys finish last) by all means speak your mind and "TCB"!!! (Take Care of Business)

I just called and spoke to USPS industry affairs who basically oversees the operations of USPS, they informed me since no insurance was purchased that they could only investigate and attempt to find the package but cannot take any financial responsibility here. I feel a little mislead here as i was told that they already made a "claim", maybe it was just to get me off the phone. who knows, either way i requested all future communications to be made via email and requested to speak to the owners and managers about this. bottom line i paid for something i did not get and they stole my money espescially since i had no choice or input into the shipping or adding insurance. So if they don't make this right, mods, is there a place to post a vendor review, and i can share my situation and emails to help other forum members avoid this place?
