What someone said up top.. Pay a little more in Cali...

Even with shipping it will be cheaper Von Bortel Ford sells the Raptor at invoice, no haggling. So Cal dealers think these trucks are plated in gold.

intercitylines.com is awesome!
Very professional

^^ This. Jay Leno recommends and uses them and I've used them in the past as well as a few friends have used them.. The nice thing about them that separates them from the rest is when you call InterCity Lines, you speak to somebody who can get in direct contact with the driver. They aren't a company that farms out their work to other companies. They have their own trucks and drivers and are incredibly professional. Buddy of mine had a 2006 Z06 delivered to him from California and his vehicle was the least expensive car they had on the truck. They had a 2013 Porsche 911 Turbo, Ferrari 458, BMW M3, M5, 911 GT3, and a few others I can't remember. Drivers were incredibly nice, as well. Also, InterCity Lines only does covered transport, if I recall correctly. And they definitely aren't the cheapest so if that's what you're looking for, look elsewhere.

Let us know what shipping prices you finally get. I have to get my truck to San Diego eventually, and every which way I slice it... the numbers still favor purchasing in Northern CA and driving down to Southern CA myself.

So I played with uShip and the lowest it got was $1700. I had a quote from a few companies just from checking Google reviews and sending emails. I ended using Lepke Auto Transport for $1600. It wasn't the cheapest quote, but they had good reviews and a lot of them. The truck arrived in 6 days and other than being dirty from open transport everything was fine. I would use them again.

All in all with shipping I still think I got a good deal, and I didn't have to wait for it to get built.

I will fly from Florida to New commy York, then drive your Raptor to you and I will pay for gas. I know your looking to keep the mileage off it so I will spend as much time in the air as I can. Everyone likes to put those fake bulletholes all over their rides but yours will be real from all the police chasing me. Dont worry I know some backroads, I will lose those rednecks fo sho. If anything is broke or bent when I get there I will replace for free. Don't pass this deal up cause I only offer it to every Raptor owner. So its a steal.

Yes but doesn't California have a different emission standard than all other 49 states? Or did they do away with that difference in the vehicles?

Great you had good service, but unfortunately they are just a broker and not a transport company. From the reviews I read, they have been listed as almost the worst. Luckily the trucker that picked up your raptor was legit and took good care of it.

Anyone looking to have a vehicle shipped, look at my original post. 90% of the "shipping companies" are just brokers. They are sitting in their house on the internet and list a job on a national database for a trucker to be in the area to accept the job. When something happens to your vehicle or the service is subpar, they hold no responsibility. They pass the issue off onto the trucker and you are left dealing with someone you had no idea was liable.

I actually just had a car shipped from Hollywood CA to Lexington Ky. It hasn't arrived yet but it was only picked up Monday morning. It is now Friday morning. But I went with a broker. His name is Dave at patriot auto transport in west Hollywood CA and got a fast response with a quote of $840. He is one chill dude and made my life very easy, as I was dealing with a family crisis. As of now I couldn't be happier with the customer service and ease if it all. But once again. I haven't got any updates from the driver and the car is not here yet. As it isn't that special of a car and iv got a lot of other shit on my plate right now but I'm sure if I needed or wanted updates. I could give him a call and get a straight forward answer. His # is 310 492 3646. Hope this may help
