lol- you’re bringing up circa ‘99-03 vehicles? Wtf?!? In the last decade & a half both Mopar & GM have offered far more factory V8 supercharged vehicles than Ford....let alone N/A V8s- Mopar been stuffing hemis in everything including their minivan & Durango suv!!
Jesus people never stop denying Fords aversion toward/transition away from the V8 platform - I don’t know why! It’s not up for debate- it’s there for the public to see!!!! They don’t offer ONE mid/full/large SUV w/ a V8!!!! Not ONE luxury vehicle w/ a V8!!! They offer 3 EB motors for the 1 V8 offering in their best selling 1/2 ton, an FE block V8 for their lower price point fleet trucks, & a few flavors of V8 for their bread & butter mustang....and if ya think they were so hot to trot for blown V8 performance than why on earth not keep that same recipe in their world beating halo supercar the GT
done having this convo or beating the dead horse again. It is obvious & shouldn’t need to be pointed out
Hey Im not denying that Ford has gone with the smaller turbo engines in just about everything they have out on the market. Im just saying that they still can and know how to make a good SC V8. It may not be as good or widely used as GM or Dodge but at least they still do it.
The one thing that you might forget is the restrictions the Government puts on the Fuel Economy that the Auto Makers have to shoot for, so that drives them to come up with solutions to meet those guidelines. And that's the big reason we are at the point to where we are currently. If the past regulations were not put in place and the Auto Makers didn't have to meet the Fuel Economy standards that were set, then Im sure instead of a TTV6 we would have a Gen 2 V8 Raptor.
