Unknown wire?

I was cleaning around in the engine bay and came across this wire just hanging over the passenger side wheel well anyone know what it is or does?

there are a few wires that arent used in our trucks. this is probably one of them. guess someone will need to verify

That looks like it is being used, its plugged in isn't it? Looks like it is kinked a bit. I would wrap some black tape around it to keep it protected. What side is it on, i'll look after work and see if mine is the same.

Probably the temperature sensor for the blinker fluid.
