I'm about to buy these tools (1" & 1.5") too...

Where do you buy your uniballs @RDFTS @treypal ? I'm also interested in buying some of these 300 pins to have some spare ones for upcoming trip...What ya think @JtoU ?

I have the Rogue UCA. I purchased the uniball hardware from Rogue. Probably order it again to have a spare set sitting on the shelf after I get these swapped out.

Wondering if anyone has used the Icon ball joint kit?

http://iconvehicledynamics.com/shop/service-parts/1202-on-vehicle-uniball-replacement-tool-kit.html

It's $159 vs. the All German Motorsports tool kit at $205.

Thoughts, comments?

I already purchased the AGM one so not really looking. But the AGM one is $150. You don't need the kit if you have the snap ring pliers already and the ICON doesn't include that anyways. I am more than happy to ship it to you to use as long as you pay shipping both ways. I have the 1" one.

That's awfully nice of an offer Rick, thanks! I'll need the 1.0".

I see what you mean about the snap ring pliers. I do have those at the house already. The first thing I noticed as a difference is the AGM tool uses ACME threads, versus national coarse threads. I would think the ACME threads would be easier to use.

I'm still sizing up what all I'll need for the job. Since I'm leaning towards the delta joint, I'll need this tool as well.

I assume the tool is compatible with either the Icon or AGM ball joint press tool?

Might check the local Pep Boys, Auto Zone, etc....They have loaner tools that I used when I changed mine!
Blah! You get what you pay for there. The first time I did this, I "borrowed" from one of them and fought with the damn tool that was filled with grease and sand. No thanks!

Yep, been there, done that!.....Although they opened a new store near my house, most tools I've borrowed there have been brand new!
