That's what happens to us also. We figure that they are just trying to get an up close look at the beast.

I also think taking up two spots is *******.... Not that I would do anything about it, but out does make me roll my eyes. Besides, with the steps, any car that opened their door into you would f up their own door. It would have to be a tall vehicle to hit a raptor door.

Yeah...it seems parking spots are getting smaller around here as well...I am going to start carrying white and yellow spray paint and make my own spots...

Really...

Yeah buddy, I went to court to contest the charges on the basis that it was private property and that I was in the designated space for less than 10 minutes, outside of posted business hours.... and considering the fact that no other business shares my parking lot. The judge looked at me and said: I'm sorry son but the law is the law, please follow the bailiff. The fine is $183.50. I did ask him for lenience considering the mountain of circumstances and the only reply I got from him was: "Count your blessing that temperature outside was not above 90 degrees or below 30 degrees because the fine would have been doubled". :emotions122:

No judging involve... just impose the fines despite the evidence at hand.

So off I went with the bailiff. I made it to the cashier's window and was told "CASH ONLY". I was prepared to pay the fine (platinum credit card, check book in hand and $90 in my pocket), but not having the exact cash, I was carted by the arm to booking. Long story short, I am in booking (in a 9x9 cell) with child molesters, wife abuser, thief, gang banger (11 people standing around) and was told that I would be able to make a phone call after court recessed. Guess what, phone was broken (actually found out later that it was not, that in fact the phone was on a switch which the city jailer conveniently failed to activate). Luckily for me, my in-laws knew where I was and came to my rescue (cash in hand) when I failed to call them 3 hrs into the ordeal. At the time they came for me I was scheduled to be transported from the city jail (due to overcrowding) to the parish jail.

True story, :sunot:

There is a little bit more to the story but we will see if there is interest in hearing what the judge and DA said (post-facto). Lets put it this way, I have never had much love for our judicial system ever since. I was able to get a little more out of them because they are family friends and dare I say it, patients of mine. :idiot:

What a ******* joke...Sorry you had to go through that...bottom line most of the courts and the legal system are nothing more than Revenue Agents...

ive been mulling over this dilemma since i ordered. ive been very diligent parking my ranger since i bought it. at work, always in a corner space where i could scrunch up against the curb. or a mile away at whatever business i was frequenting. nary a ding or scratch on 'er. but the raptor is 15 inches wider. im not sure i can get far enough away from the ********* to make me comfortable.

Some of you guys are taking this thread way too seriously. That's at work actually, at about 4PM when most people have left for home. It was a photo op. Noone cares. I'm thinking at least one you are the keyors. :sunot:

im not a keyer, i wont do something that causes physical harm to another persons vehicle, but if possible i do park right beside them.

honestly, its stupid. if youre vehicles fits in the lines, park properly.

if it doesnt phsyically fit, fine. take up a little more space.
