I had the GTS Cayenne before that, but here's the thing -

I use the Cayenne as my road trip vehicle, and with 380 hp supercharged V6, I get 0-60 in under 6 seconds, a highway range of 550 miles, which means I can get to Vail from Dallas with one stop. I just did the trip and with a full car, roof transport system on top with skis for 4, I still got over 23 mpg and averaged 73 mph.

What I was trying to say is have the right tool for the right job. My 911 is my street go fast, my F430 is my track go fast, my Raptor is my off roader, and my Cayenne is my road tripper

this TT Raptor doesn't seem to fit any use for me, again my opinion.

ducatisps, you have a sick collection of cars, nicely done.

I really don't get Dan's comments regarding your Cayenne; the offroadability (or lack of) of this TT Raptor set up has nothing to do with your vehicles or any other vehicles. Weird thing to say.

I really like the idea of a low pressure turbo set up for the Raptor; something that would increase power (especially at elevation) and efficiency would be great. I agree with most though that the pipe routing needs a rethink.

I do like twin turbos as my main car is one, and if they can get the pipe routing fixed and handle cooling okay so they don't melt down into expensive slag, then I'd love to see the finished product.

I wonder how the motor oil holds up with four exhaust tubes running back and forth.
The pipes still have spacing from the pan. The radiant heat from the pipes isn't enough to do anything to the oil. Even in extreme racing, I'd assume there would be speed involved which = airflow. We've tucked pipes similar to this on our C5/C6 kits inside plastic fenders....never an issue.

I also don't like the OEM air box just sitting there? Remove it and add a second battery mounting plate or something.

GREAT LAKES RAPTOR EXCURSIONS
We were trying to figure out what to do with that, but because it also houses the coolant res, we opted to leave it.

I like it, but I wanna see you jump it! I think the consensus is that it is an on road only truck now. Prove us wrong!!!
No you don't. Be honest. What you really want to see is me bashing the factory skid shield the way everyone else does to see if it holds up! ;)

Like it has been posted in you're companies
I would advice you guys into rerouting the exhaust above the front crossmember.

I know it sounds simple
And i know it will not be easy to do

All in all i nice piece of kit
For a very nice price

Question : how far you guys think you can push it
With going above the 6psi??
Unfortunately there just isn't enough room above the cross member to get all those pipes in there. There was barely enough room below it! Honestly I don't know what it would do. I've heard the factory rods aren't the strongest things in the world, so we didn't really want to push it. We'll leave that up to the guys with the built engines. The turbos themselves though will flow 1100hp worth of flow if you absolutely maxed them out.

Welcome to FRF - good to have you here!

Your TT solution looks impressive and delivers lots of power.

(But any post on the internet saying a product is, in any way, similar to one from Hennessey is not exactly confidence inspiring.)

I did not mean that we have anything in common with Hennessey other than the location of the turbos themselves. I am quite confident in our turbo setup, as it is what we primarily do. I cannot attest for Hennessey nor any problems that anyone has had, especially in regards to their ethics. But our ethics, customer service, business model and products speak for themselves.

Right. I get it. Your opinion. But criticizing this company's TT Raptor, in their thread, while you own a vehicle that only a handful of people in the world could find useful is just a bit wacky IMO.

If you wanted to you could easily justify using the TT Raptor as your "road tripper" - with your budget and with a hybrid vehicle as expensive as the Cayenne, it's simply silly / ridiculous to talk about MPGs. :shitsweak:

You're welcome to criticize and say what you will. I just find it ludicrous that you chose to take on the TT Raptor while you're driving a Porsche hybrid

:snoopfacepalm:

And BTW, I think it's great that you have a Swiss Army knife garage with the selection of vehicles you do.

I think anyone who has read how you've dealt with our criticisms so far would agree that you're nothing like Hennessey in the customer service department, our main problem with Hennessey isn't there customer service though, it's their kits, many a raptor has been lost to Hennessey forever (gone down in flames to be exact) including what may have been the greatest raptor build ever

With apologies to the OP, I will have one last comment here.

My original comment was to get the manufacturer of the turbo setup to think about the base design and reason for the raptor. It really wasn't designed to be a street queen, and maybe with some thought the design could be modified to make it fit with the original Idea behind building a high speed off road truck. Decreasing that ability, to me, doesn't factor into something I would spend money on, and I assume since I have a fairly modded raptor I am a target market member.

Oh yeah, the mpg isn't the defining thing for me about the cayenne, it's the comfort and the range in case you missed that.

This would be a fine kit for 95%+ of Raptor owners. With the stock skid over the top it would protect the piping and be fine for the dirt road/snow/light mudding which honestly is what most of these trucks see.
